The specific implementation suggested for authorizing a Stage or Exception Plan is outlined below.

Assess overall project viability: | Consider the current status of the Business Case, Project Plan and issues/risks |
Make a decision: | Authorize the stage to proceed by approving the next Stage Plan (or Exception Plan), or Request premature closure if the project is no longer viable or desirable |
